Ken Byler is a Souderton-based speaker, coach, and facilitator whose passion is developing better leaders. He is the owner of Higher Ground Consulting Group, LLC, a firm he co-founded with three other equity partners in 2002. Ken blends 40-plus years of management experience with his teaching abilities and skills as a facilitator.
His diverse career has included leadership positions in a variety of business and nonprofit settings where he observed first-hand the important role that competent managers and inspirational leaders can play in the success of an organization. He has deepened and applied that knowledge and experience in his work with some of the leading companies in the Greater Philadelphia region. His growing client list includes Advanced Living Communities, Bergey’s Inc., Bergey’s Electric, Clemens Food Group, Kay & Sons, Living Branches, North Penn School District, North Penn United Way, Penn Foundation, Remodeling Concepts, Souderton Area School District, and Univest Corporation.
Much of Ken’s work is done in classroom and seminar formats where his engaging style, well-designed curriculum, and interactive learning approaches appeal to managers and leaders at every level. Coaching clients appreciate his empathetic listening, thoughtful questions, and willingness to hold them accountable. Ken’s ability to design effective processes that lead to meaningful conversations has created a demand for his facilitation services. He assists organizations with planning projects and team building events; times when a guided discussion by a neutral party is so important.
In 2007 Ken was a contributing author to a family business book and launched a leadership blog. His passion for writing has resulted in hundreds of posts and published articles in local and national publications, including other blog sites. The firm’s monthly E-Newsletter enjoys high levels of readership, boasts a distribution list of nearly 400 addresses, and recently published its 94th issue. Ken’s thoughtful, and often deeply personal, reflections about leadership and life resonate with readers.
